Frequently Asked Questions

Planning guide and essential culinary policies for confirmed event organizers hosting private banquets and hospitality functions at Scottsdale Stadium.

Confirmed Event Requirement: Delaware North Sportservice is the exclusive culinary partner at Scottsdale Stadium. Event organizers must first hold an executed facility agreement through the City of Scottsdale Stadium Facility Operations before finalizing banquet catering orders.

Q1. Who provides catering and bar service at Scottsdale Stadium?

Delaware North Sportservice is the exclusive food, beverage, and liquor license holder for all private banquets, suites, and special events across Scottsdale Stadium. Outside caterers, drop-offs, and third-party alcohol are strictly prohibited by stadium rules and Arizona State Law.

Q2. What are the critical order deadlines for my event?

Banquet planning timelines ensure fresh sourcing and dedicated culinary staffing:
• 20 Business Days Prior: Menu selections and 50% deposit due.
• 7 Business Days Prior (12:00 PM AZ Time): Final guest guarantee and remaining balance due. After this deadline, counts cannot decrease.

Q3. What guest minimums apply to banquet orders?

Standard buffets require a 50-guest minimum. Ballpark Concession Stands require a 100-guest minimum. Executive Boxed Lunches require a 50-box total minimum with at least 10 boxes per variety. Signature 3-Foot Hoagies require a minimum order of 3 hoagies when ordered as the main meal.

Q4. How does alcohol service work under Arizona Title 4?

As the sole Arizona Title 4 liquor license holder, Delaware North Sportservice purchases, controls, and serves all alcohol on property. All bars are staffed by certified, professional bartenders. Self-service bars, BYOB, and removing unconsumed alcoholic beverages from the stadium premises are prohibited under Arizona State Law.

Q5. How are dietary restrictions and food allergies handled?

All buffet displays include 2027 Food Cards identifying vegetarian (V), vegan (VG), gluten-friendly (GF), and the Nine Major Allergens. Dedicated chef-plated allergy meals are prepared and individually plated in our stadium culinary kitchens upon prior request by the guarantee deadline.

Q6. What administrative fees and taxes apply?

All food, beverage, and service charges carry a 22% Administrative Fee and 8% Arizona Sales Tax. The administrative fee covers operational costs and is not a gratuity for service staff.

Q7. How long are food buffets held during an event?

In accordance with Maricopa County Environmental Health Department food safety regulations, buffets and food stations are maintained for a maximum of 2 consecutive hours to ensure optimal food quality and temperature control (≥135°F hot / ≤41°F chilled).
